If you're willing to take the risk, the Pirates are in a great spot to make some moves at the trade deadline. Even with the call-up of two of their top prospects this midseason, their farm system remains deep with talent (due to the high picks after multiple losing seasons) and one of the very best rated systems in baseball. They could be willing to part ways with some of their top guys for a shot at the Series. Pittsburgh ownership is more willing to spend money with the record attendances over the past two seasons, knowing that the city will continue to support a winner. Looking primarily for a 1-2 slot starter and a power hitting first baseman, both preferably lefties due to the park dimensions. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they are heavily involved in David Price and Jon Lester talks. If they land even a 3-4 slot starter and an above average infield bat, the odds for this bet will change DRAMATICALLY.

35 to 1 for a surging team that's only a handful of games out of the the driver's seat in the NL Central is an absolute steal.
