Ok I wanted to run an experiment to see how long it would take for someone to pick 8 teams and all 8 teams miss the playoffs.
I won this bet at around 20 a pop for 6 or 7 years with friends. Nobody ever came close.
Then I took it over to therx to see how long it would take.
It took 3 years with around 200 chances before someone finally picked 8 teams where all 8 teams missed the playoffs.
I did not give that money away just for the hell of it because I'm a nice guy.
I just figured it was worth $300 to me to see how long it would take to be done because I have never seen anyone do it.
Now that I know that it can be done I have no incentive to do the same contest all over again because I got the answer to my question.
So now I'm going to make it 9 teams.
I want to find out how long it will take for someone to pick 9 teams and all 9 miss the playoffs.
I don't know if this can be done without getting really really lucky.
Since this new challenge is greater then the old challenge I'm going to put up $500 this time around.
$500 to the person who picks 9 teams that miss the playoffs.
