Race 1
(2) MISS LIV draws inside, comes out of the Canadian Breeders Championship and is due for her first win of the season. (6) QUADROPHENIA tasted defeat as the favourite last week in this class and is very capable once again for trainer David Menary. (7) TORCHES STAR comes from the Ben Wallace barn, who is no stranger to success with young horses and this Angus Hall filly raced very well in her latest outing to finish third.
Race 2
(9) BEYONCES ROCKN comes from the Bob Young barn, which has been terrific this season from limited starts and this youngster by Rock N Roll Heaven raced very well in her career debut last week to finish second, timed in 1:55 with a :27 final frame. (3) MOONLIT DANCE will make her career debut in here after a successful qualifier on July 18 for trainer Mark Austin. (7) TRADITIONAL comes from the Casie Coleman barn, which can't be overlooked.
Race 3
(7) MUSCLE UP THE GOAL made a miscue in his first career start, but found his best stride in last weeks OSS Gold Series as the Muscle Mass colt enjoyed his first career victory. (3) ALACRITY finished second to Muscle Up The Goal in last week’s OSS Gold Series, draws inside again this week and has been finishing off his miles very well. (2) ONE DIRECTION comes from the Ake Svanstedt barn, which can't be overlooked.
Race 4
(8) FOR A BETTOR TIME was a winner last week in this class for trainer Casie Coleman and driver Chris Christoforou. (1) IDEALBEACH HANOVER finally draws inside in his third start of the season. (4) COMPANY MAN has missed the board once from eight starts this season and it came last week in the final of the Summertime Pacing Series.
Race 5
(1) DONT RUSH draws the rail in this contest in just his third career start and is fresh off a win, by a neck, in his OSS Gold Series division. (10) A LITTLE MORE LOVE comes from the Bob McIntosh barn and the Kadabra colt has yet to miss the board in three career starts. (7) LUCK O THE IRISH comes from the Tom Durand barn, who is no stranger to success with young trotters and this Holiday Road home-bred was a close second, by a neck, in his latest OSS Gold Series division to Dont Rush.
Race 6
(4) ACE OF CLUBS draws inside in this contest and is due for his first career win as the son of Royal Mattjesty has been knocking on the door in each of his last two starts for trainer Gregg McNair. (8) BIG MOMENT is fresh off a win at Grand River Raceway in the Ontario Sires Stakes Grassroots division and makes the move back onto this circuit. (7) BRIDGE OF STONE is a perfect two-for-two to begin his career for trainer Carmen Auciello.
Race 7
(8) BAX OF LIFE is a quality mare that has all kinds of speed and back class to offer and is a top threat in this field. (4) MMS LUCKY BOY finished a game second last week in this class, beaten less than a length for the win. (3) MAJOR HERBIE has hit the board in three of his last four starts and continues to be a top threat in this class.
Race 8
(4) ROLLWITHTHEPUNCHES was a $17K yearling purchase and has already banked $70K from two starts. (3) PHYSICALLYINCLINED made a miscue last week for trainer/owner Bruce McGean, but appears capable of a bounce-back effort. (5) MANNY IN SPORTS comes from the Tony O'Sullivan barn, gets James MacDonald back in the bike and the gelding could be sitting on a big mile.
Race 9
(5) TRACEUR HANOVER was a $100K yearling purchase and is a perfect one-for-one to begin his career. (9) AMERICAN LEGEND will need to overcome post nine, but comes from the Casie Coleman barn, enjoys being put into the race and likely will offer a low price. (10) JAKE BLUE CHIP was a $120K yearling purchase as he's the second foal from Sprig Hanover ($400K).
Race 10
(7) NAKED CITY proved to handle the class jump last week as The Panderosa son earned his third straight win. (2) BAD BOY MATT was recently timed in 1:50.3 in this class last week and a repeat effort makes him a top threat again this week. (9) TENDTOWIN makes the move back to this circuit after winning five straight at Georgian Downs.
Race 11
(3) REAL ROCKER draws much better this week, drops in class and is due for a win. The Rocknroll Hanover gelding shows the speed and has won at a higher level earlier this year. (1) JUSTALITTLELUCK draws the rail in this wide-open contest and is fresh off a pair of wins at Hiawatha Horse Park. (4) MIDNITE ROMP is fresh off an open length score at Kawartha Downs for trainer Dave Gibson and the veteran pacer makes his move back to Mohawk.
