Blue Jays @ Astros
Recommendation: Blue Jays -116
The Blue Jays are scortching hot right now as they come intotonight having won 6 in a row and 9 of their last 10. They’ve averaged 6.6 rpgand have a .323 batting average during that span. They also lead the league inhome runs behind a power heavy lineup. During this hot streak the Jays areclosing in on the Orioles who lead the division.
The Astros have lost 7 of their past 9. Some veryquestionable decisions by the front office have put this team in a positionwhere it can’t succeed. Collin HcHugh has lost 6 in a row behind a 4.46 ERA. Healso doesn’t receive much run support due to Houston’s lack of talent. J.A.Happ hasn’t had much success lately either. This is a good spot for him to turnthings around as he will be pitching back in Houston (His former team) for thefirst time. That should give him an extra motivational edge, as we know that he’llcome into this one extra prepared.
The pitchers come out about even on the ratings scale, butthere’s a huge offensive edge to the Blue Jays. Toronto is a “bet on” teamright now and we’ll look the cash in on them as small favorites tonight. Takethe Blue Jays.
