Let it ride of course..21 with Kevin spacey was fun..if you want something about the problem side of the game owning Mahoney (spelling) with the now dead Phillip Seymour Hoffman is a great account of the darker side of the game..based on true story also

Rounders, The Gambler and Hard Eight have to be my favorites.

Casino and Lock, Stock Two Smoking Barrels up there, but not "gambling" movies.

2) The Gambler (guy was a degenerate.....he seemed to only feel alive when he was chasing his losses)

3) Bookies (knew couple kids like this in college)

4) Let it Ride (best horse racing movie ever)

5) Lay the Favorite

6) Even Money

A lot of the lines in The Gambler are outdated and cheesy, but James Caan totally carries that movie. It's gripping...it feels like you're going through the degenerate journey right along with him. And I can't remember the name of his GF in that movie, but Jesus...what a gorgeous knockout.

Not coincidentally, Caan was also awesome as the casino boss in the Las Vegas TV series. That's probably the last show I've watched regularly. I couldn't even name a single "hit" show that's on any network today...just not my thing.
