Probably creates jobs because 99.9% of subways do not have drive thru because its so hard for someone in a car to explain how they want a sub in a drive thru.
Also the computer programers that made the damn thing created jobs.
this kiosk is cool and i think if McDonalds had this it could be awesome. only 2 problems:
1) I can see the drive thru becoming slower than shit with people not knowing how to do it, or delete the order, or cancel an item, or take out pickles, etc.
2) When ppl fuck up their orders (and they will), how slow will the line get with complainers
I hate the CVS self checkout. Invariably there's a problem with it, that a Human has to come and fix, like not taking the coupons that the damn store prints out. Self checkout usually takes alot more time than the cashier checkout used to, but my CVS doesn't even have anyone manning the cash register unless the lines at self service are exceedingly long.
come to costa rica and you will find a Subway drive thru, needless to say it takes 20 minutes minimum to get your order ready adnif you are in a hurry and there are ppl before you its faster to eat it there than the drive thru. Of course nothing is automated poor bastard on the drive thru tries to do his job as fast as possible when the line gets too long but its just not efficient that way
