Survivor Football League

Hey guys I am running a single elimination survivor league on yahoo this year. Buy in is a measely $20. I don't know anyone on here so there is unfortunately no way for me assure you that I will pay out at the end. I will say that I run 2 fantasy leagues every year and they get paid out immediately after the championship. I have done the rx contest and I played in kidmans fantasy league last year.

I understand completely if no one wants in but I just thought I would throw this out there in case anyone wants to play.

Please respond here if you want to play and I will pm you the details. This is the first year I have run this league so there may only be 20 - 30 people playing.

Please proceed with extreme caution and operate at your own risk when dealing with other Rx posters privately, especially in financial matters. I cannot over emphasize how dangerous it is to bet or loan or transfer money with or to complete stangers and expect to be paid in the end. I am not saying all posters are dishonest but utmost caution needs to be practiced whenever posters deal with each others privately, especially in regards to financial matters. The Rx.com cannot help mediate disputed wagers, contests or debts between private parties..

How about an RX Run Survivor Contest, similar to the NFL and College Football contests run by BAS? We could send money to him or another Mod, and there are several good Free Survivor Contest Hosting sites that could be used, or we can have a dedicated thread here. I know we've had Sponsor Book Run Survivor Contests in the past, but those seem to have dried up. Don't mean to make extra work for the mods, but I can understand the hesitancy to send $$$ to a poster that you don't know. Enough interest in an RX Survivor League? Maybe $50 or $100 per man?

It looks like we have 2 people at the same time on page 1 trying to start up the same thing.
Why don't you guys just combine it all into 1 contest?

Wille is starting the other one and has been here forever and is very trustworthy.
Just combine everything into his contest.

I'd join if a mod would hold the money. No offense to you, but I'd feel more comfortable if a Mod held contest money.

im ok if you guys would prefer a mod to run this. Is there anyway we can use my yahoo survivor league that i have already started, that way my friends that have already joined can play. I can make willie the commish if needed.

I posted this on here a few years ago, and I think a few of you entered...

But if you want to enter the survivor pool of survivor pools, PM me and I'll ship you the details. I don't know the guy who runs it personally, but I can vouch for it as legit. This thing has continued to grow over the years. 2,500 entries, $20 each. Winner takes all unless there is a chop everyone agrees to.

2,500 x 20...do the math. I have zero stake in this whatsoever...so it's not as if I'm gaining anything by inviting anyone who wants to join. Just passing it along since it's fun to play. I'm going to do 3 entries this year.
