Do we have at least 10 people with enough nerve for a $500 survivor contest. Winner take all?

Can you explain the rules of the survivor pool. I'd probably be interested. But that is of course if the RX Gods allow me.

In week1 you can pick any team in the nfl you want to win straight up with no point spread.
If the team you picked wins in week 1 you get to move on to week 2.
If the team you picked in week 1 loses you are eliminated from the contest.

In week 2 (if you won in week 1)you can pick any team in the nfl to win straight up except for the team you used in week 1.
You are only allowed to use the same team 1 time.

You repeat this process every week until there is only one person in the contest.

The last person standing wins.

All we really need is about 5 people to make it interesting.
Once 5 people commit we will make it official then take any new comers after that at a certain deadline before the season starts

How do we make the picks without it being public, need an outside judge? It would be a problem if people had to post the picks in the forum, no?

And what happens if the last two (or three) people go out in the same week. Tie games? We need some official rules.

yes the picks would be public just like any other survivor contest.
There is no advantage or disadvantage with other people seeing who you pick.

If the last 2 or 3 people get knocked out the same week the pot gets split 2 or 3 ways .

Ties move on to the next round. Only loses get eliminated

Gonna bow out for now, already have 2350 invested in the NFL and it's one of my worst sports to bet on. If you get close to filling the 10 and can't find any more I'd probably jump on the grenade and donate.

Would we do picks here on the forum?
Or thinking we would use Yahoo, CBS, any of the others that have sites for this? (where you make your pick, but then it isn't "published" until 12, so can't see who others picked)

Ok that sounds great. We can do that if everyone would rather not have their picks made public until game time

Treasurer could be me or Willie.
Whoever people trust the most.

As far as me I have been here since 2004.
I have done 10's of thousands of dollars worth of trouble free business and wagers with countless members without a single issue.
I have high ranking members that can personally vouch for me

Or Wille99.
He has been co-treasurer of our rx$500 fantasy league for several years with no issues whatsoever . That is of course if Willie is willing to hold funds.

7 commitments already. That's 3500 to the winner even if nobody else shows up.
