I dont think theres that much of a difference in the AL....

Tigers nor A's are unbeatable.

LAD and WAS are on a completely different level...

The AL is wide open IMO

Tigers didn't do what they needed to do at the deadline.

Improve the bullpen, especially CLOSER.

It's 50-50 when a team makes a blockbuster trade deadline deal, after having a great season up to that point. Sometimes it's better to just go with what got you there up to that point.
In Oakland's case, giving up Cespedes was just dumb, IMO.

They picked up Soria, who has been a proven stud closer, and was having a good year at Texas. He's imploded with Detroit.

Oakland is fine. They just ran into a hot KC team and Atlanta squeaked a couple by them. They are 38-18 at home last 56. They will be back to normal. Detroit on the other hand, who knows. All I know is I quit betting on them.

I've heard tell it's a game of inches.

400 feet to the fence represents 4,800 inches.

I personally feel it's a game of 1/2 inches. That's 9,600 increments to the fences.

Keep laying the -105-110-120-130-140-150-160-170-180-190-200 wood, and the increments will prove unkind...
