For things like survivor contest or nfl pickem contest?

Basically any kind of post up contest you can think of between forum members or friends where post up money is needed.

There seems to be a ton of interest in these contest and a central site to hold funds would be a huge hit.

For instance I started a thread yesterday for a $500 entry survivor contest and already have about 15 people interested.

Thats about $7500

Although my rep as far as financial transactions is 100% clean dealing with thousands of dollars over 10 years I still don't expect strangers to trust me with that kind of money so I'm stuck.

I have a potential contest that would be fun with tons of interest but I have no way to collect the funds.

If there was a reputable holding site where everyone could send funds to the site for a small fee it would be a hit.

Yes I think I have seen a few but the fee is what makes them not want to play

Looks like these sites are for fantasy only. Don't see an option for survivor leagues

In today's environment, why is that safer? Seems like so many things in the gambling arena are going down

I say two or three trusted forum members and / or known proxies is the way to go

I got to agree here, it's not like those places are licensed and bonded to legally hold money for gambling contests.

1) I'm fine with you or another trusted poster handling the cash

2) We don't need to open this up to people who won't trust you because it makes sense to cap it at 10 or 15 players, anymore and the odds get too small for the amount of cash involved in my opinion (I would be out for instance)

These sites would have a hard time operating these days, due to financial regulations. anti-money laundering is a serious responsibility, and it would be very easy for people to set up "contests" where a few people contribute to the pot and one person "wins" it.

Betyourmate.com is exactly what you are looking for, used them once. Lost the bet so don't ask me about payouts LOL
