Marino was the purest of all by far....If his era had the rules of today, he would have thrown 60+ td's and 6000 yrds easy for a few seasons.

Everyone knew what he was going to do and he still did it. Brady, Farve, and Manning lived off of the rules, not to mention screens and dumpoffs (just the new era).

Not to mention, protection (Marino had none)

I would take Elway at number 1. If all these QBs played at the same time every team would have traded their QB even up for Elway. Arm, legs, and a winner.

Chop's talking about Drew Brees.

And he's probably right, he does belong in the top 10.

Brees & Manning are the only star QB's who have shown they can still dominate when transferring to a different team.

We'll never know that about most of the others...

Brees isn't in my top 10 of all time....

I think it's pretty good....maybe drop Marino a spot or two.

Leaving out Brees is a no brainer.

Manning, Marino, Brady, Montana and Elway is the top 5 and there's little difference among those 5 in terms of success

Some have superstars surrounding them their entire career, some play with the same personnel for a decade, some play in one system most of their careers, while others start new every couple of years

I would suggest we may never know how the league's most pampered QBs would perform with constant turnover around them while throwing to a very average crop of receivers
