MORE SWEET SECRETS is the strongest bet in this affair especially at a such a nice price. Should definitely be carefully examined in this competition if only for the respectable Equibase Speed Fig earned in the last contest. Must be considered given the class of races run as of late. Shows evidence of the look of a profitable play, averaging a solid 60 speed figure which is one of the best in this group. SWEET JILL - Looks strong for the conditions of this outing today, showing solid numbers in turf sprint races as of late. Has to be given a shot based on the solid speed fig put up in the last contest. COBRA KATRINA - She has been running admirably and the Equibase Speed Figures are among the strongest in this field. This filly is a definite contender based on her earnings per start in turf sprint contests.

BROTHER LEO - Faced tougher last time out at Parx Racing. Based on Equibase class ratings, this is a weaker field, so I will put this horse on my list of strong contenders. I have to like this gelding's chances to win at the shorter trip. Gelding is a few starts into a return to racing here. Should give a big race today.

Vulnerable Contenders: #2 DEADLY CARD (ML=3/2), #5 RUN ROBBY RUN (ML=4/1), #1 TINDER LORD (ML=5/1),

DEADLY CARD - Usually I need a sprinter to have some recent good showings in sprint races in order to back him. Didn't hit the board on August 9th after the extended vacation. Be doubtful of this animal today. I cannot play this habitual non-winner. Gets the job completed from time to time. This gelding notched a speed rating in his last event which probably isn't good enough in today's event. RUN ROBBY RUN - Generally I need a sprinter to have some recent good showings in sprint affairs in order to wager on him. Unlikely that the speed rating he recorded on Jun 29th will hold up in this event. TINDER LORD - When examining today's class figure, he will have to record a better speed figure than last race out to battle in this dirt sprint. This gelding ran his best speed rating in some time on the dirt in a sprint event. There may be a performance bounce today.

JONATHAN C - Was in an Allowance race at Suffolk Downs last time around the track. That affair had a class rating of 96 and he is moving down in this event. A certain contender. The most recent speed fig of 68 is the highest last race speed figure in the field. PP lines show this thoroughbred with 3 improving speed ratings. Medina should be on a live one right here. JACE - This gelding is in good physical condition, having run a nice race on August 11th, finishing second. This rider/handler duo has been producing a very profitable ROI, right at +90. Three consecutive improved speed figures (49-54-65) make this animal a strong contender.

This gelding notched a speed rating in his last event which probably isn't good enough in today's race. MR SUPERNOVA - If you keep playing these sort of 'bridesmaid' types, you're going to be disappointed frequently.

With a 90 average class figure, this horse has one of the most competitive class advantages in the group of horses. Worth considering in this race if only for the very good TrackMaster speed fig achieved in the most recent race. PAPER BACKED LINDY - Starters win from this hole at Mohawk Racetrack with better than average regularity, suggesting this solid bet. STANDING MY GROUND - She has been doing work sharply and the TrackMaster Speed Ratings are among the most compelling in the group of horses. Unquestionably the class of the bunch with an average rating of 87. A nice choice.

PEMBROKE WILDCAT is the strongest wager in this outing. Grondin has been able to get this entrant to perform when sending to the post. Always worth a look. Many harness players know speed is is key. This nice horse has credentials with a 64 avg figure. Many harness players will recognize the great TrackMaster Speed Rating in the last contest. Stacks up against any horse in this field. APOLLO'S CHARIOT - Overall numbers look good. Can't throw him out of the picture. Has very good speed figures and positively has to be considered for a wager in this contest. RECKLESS REBEL - This standardbred looks strong considering the high class numbers. Not a good idea to throw out of any exotics. Could dominate this group, just look at the speed fig - 61 - from his last outing.

(2) ZOOMIN JESSE gets a big driver change and should benefit from his early gate speed. (4) ABBY couldn't parlay a perfect trip two starts ago but finds a very suspect field. (9) SCREAMN DREAMIN raced well last out closing good ground, but will need more to hit the top spot.

Race 2

(2) GOOSE ON THE ROCKS is a lot better than this field when sound; big chance. (1) DERINGER GUN gets the best post and should be in line for a nice trip up close. (9) LIGHTNINGINTHESKY owns only one win on the year but has been racing much better as of late.

Race 3

(2) HEZATRAIN is on a big-time roll and will look to make it four straight. (1) SURE THING owns some back class and looks to be rounding back into racing shape off a layoff. (9) CHANGE THE FUTURE dominated last out but gets a tough post and will need a lot more to upset the favorite.

Race 4

(2) SASSY OSBORNE is deceptively sharp and should offer a good price in a wide open race. (9) DANNYS ATTHEDANCE has been consistently pacing good miles; threat. (4) BEANS AND WEENIES dropped and popped last out and is capable of making it two straight with a smooth trip.

Race 5

(6) SAND ROYAL BLU is the fastest horse in the race but has trouble staying trotting at times. (1) SMOOTH POWER gets the best post and will be used aggressively. (3) ARIANNA HALL comes off an easy win down in class and has good gate speed.

Race 6

In an evenly matched race, (5) JUMPIN JACK J had no chance last out from a tough post. The 7-year-old pacer just needs to find a way into the race late. (3) RIGHT ON TIME is capable of pacing a big mile from time to time; threat. (4) SUNBURNED VERN has just been racing evenly; command a price.

Race 7

(6) COACH KEN takes a significant drop in class and has a big burst of speed. (4) CULLENS BLUE JEAN needs some racing luck but has beaten better. (5) RAMEMBER looks bad on paper but faces much easier.

Race 8

(1) NOVASCOTIA HANOVER is an impeccably bred pacing mare that gets the best post against a much softer bunch. (2) MACH OF BALLYKEEL needed an acclimating mile over the track and should race much better second start in a new barn. (6) CASH CAB is very consistent and could be a threat late with a contested pace.

Race 9

(7) ROSE RUN LOGAN gets a post edge on his main rival, was the driver's choice, and just needs to stay trotting for a big chance. (9) BOOKEM has been racing gamely and should be in line for a ground-saving trip. (8) EASY STRENGTH has a very tough task ahead of him from a tough post; command a price.

Race 10

(3) TRUE TO MACH has won three straight at this level and did it rather easily. (9) ROCKIN FINISH has the most upside in the field if ready. (7) KANARIS needs to blast off the gate for his best chance.

Race 11

In a tough race to gauge, (8) GRANDE SEELSTER gets sent out for a hot barn and just needs to find a way into the race. (9) ALFREDSSON comes off a scratch but has beaten similar on the year. (7) TOP OF THE MARK faces a much easier bunch and was the driver's choice.

Race 12

(2) SUPER LUSTRE takes a big drop in class and will be used aggressively for a top driver. (1) HEZA RUBE has a ton of upside but needs to mind his manners. (3) SEPTEMBER HALL bumps up in class and is best used underneath.

Race 13

(4) GET GOIN MEL was rough-gaited for his first start over the track. If the connections can make a few adjustments, the pacer can fly off the gate. (8) LOST JEWELS the pacer was a game winner last out and will offer a big price from a tough post. (1) ACTION METRO MAX is very disappointing lacking any kind of pace late; use underneath.

Race 14

(9) FOLLOW THROUGH finds a suspect field and just needs a smooth trip. (2) FOREVER HAPPY rarely wins and has just been racing evenly, but should have a shot in a really weak field. (3) WOW POWER has been disappointing in his last two but is capable.

Race 15

(4) SKULL OF ROSES will offer a great price and just needs a smooth trip to find the winner's circle. (2) MOSH PIT is very inconsistent from week to week but can jump up with big efforts. (3) CAN REPEAT closed some ground from a tough post last out but needs some racing luck.

Race 1

(8) MYSTICAL JET will make his third career start tonight for trainer Tony Alagna and driver Scott Zeron. (1) BIG KISSER has hit the board in two of his last three starts, draws the rail and is very versatile for trainer Ben Wallace. (4) FRANKIE BOY was parked on the outside in his latest for trainer Tony O'Sullivan. This colt has some upside and he likely will offer a price.

Race 2

(1) ALL CHOCOLATE gets the rail to her advantage and continues to be a threat in this class for many weeks. (4) ROMANCE IN CAMELOT moves into the Vic Puddy barn and will make her third start in a row on this circuit. (2) WARRAWEE LIMELIGHT has all kinds of back class to offer, but hasn't been at her best in recent weeks.

Race 3

(6) PAPER BACKED LINDY hasn't missed the board in each of his last two starts and comes from top connections in trainer/driver Per Henriksen. (3) PARLIA HANOVER recently finished second in this class from last week, draws inside and comes from the Tony Montini barn. (7) ROCK OF CASHEL certainly has the speed, but hasn't been at his best since arriving home from the U.S. three starts back.

Race 4

(5) BET YA is currently sitting sixth in the OSS Grassroots standings and the talented filly begins from another favorable post for driver Jack Moiseyev. (4) NEFERTITI BLUECHIP drops out of the OSS Gold Series and into this more suitable level for trainer/owner Jack Darling. (7) SEAWIND GINGER recently entered the Corey Johnson barn and now has found her way into this Grassroots level after giving the Gold Series a try.

Race 5

(9) MMS LUCKY BOY once again will draw outside, but has developed a terrific late kick in each of his last two starts. I'm taking a chance on him and hoping for a price in tonight's second leg of the Pick 4. (3) FEARLESS MAN drops out of the Preferred event for trainer/driver Rick Zeron. (5) BURNIN MONEY has all kinds of back class to offer and has finished third in each of his last two starts in this class.

Race 6

(7) DANA DEAREST currently sits second in the Ontario Sires Stakes Grassroots standings with 103 points and will look to add to that tally tonight. (11) REGALLY READY has been a much better filly in her last three starts as the Royal Mattjesty miss has won three straight. (2) STELLLLLLLA draws inside and was an open-length winner in her latest at Georgian Downs for trainer David Menary.

Race 7

(1) DECISIVE DESTINY will get my top selection in this wide-open contest to conclude the Early Pick 4. (5) P J CAMDEX will make his Mohawk debut on tonight's occasion and may offer a price. He's been racing very well at Hiawatha Horse Park and been providing speedy miles for trainer Rich Griffiths. (3) HARBOR PLACE comes from the Carman Hie barn, draws inside and raced well last week in this class.

Race 8

(5) SHADOWS WONDER has hit the board in each of her last three starts and four of her last five. (3) HER OWN LAND is the leader in the Ontario Sires Stakes Grassroots program with 158 points to her credit. The Blissful Hall miss has racked up three Grassroots victories in four appearances for trainer David Menary. (2) BORN TO DREAM has hit the board in three of her last four starts, draws inside and comes from the Tony O'Sullivan barn.

Race 9

(6) MEGO MOSS is due for a big effort and it may come tonight as the son of Amigo Hall is down in class and very capable of winning this event. (10) ROCKY BOY recently entered the Richard Moreau barn and finished a game third last week after receiving a terrific trip by driver Sylvain Filion. (7) ROLLS BLUE CHIP should appreciate the class relief on tonight's occasion for trainer Tom Durand.

Race 10

(7) JAKE BLUE CHIP finished fifth in the Nassageweya Stakes in his most recent and the connections elected not to participate in the Metro elims this past Saturday. (1) DIALAMARA recently entered the Pat Fletcher barn following a private purchase and the Lis Mara youngster quickly responded with a second-place effort at Georgian Downs in a Gold Series division. (8) DRACHAN HANOVER was the heavy favorite last week at Georgian Downs in a Gold division and disappointed the public.

Race 11

(1) GOLDIES MACH has been a much better filly in each of her last three starts for trainer David Menary. (2) MISSEVIL was much better last week at Georgian Downs in her division of the Ontario Sires Stakes Grassroots. (3) MISS BRANDI K has been racing very consistently this season, draws the three-hole and is at a class where she's very competitive in.

Yonkers: Monday 8/25 Analysis

Race 1

(5) LONG FIGHT HANOVER was defeated late after an aggressive try last out; could be value here in this solid field. (1) VODKA IS TERROR drops back down to the level of his last win and Brennan is back driving; gelding is a bit erratic however. (4) GO GO RAIDER has maintained good form for an extended period of time now.

Race 2

(5) MISSISSIPPI HIPPY debuts for new connections via claim and he can be forwardly placed from this spot. (2) HEMER'S CARD SHOCK drops in class again off a slightly improved effort. (3) BOLDER gets class and post relief and he's certainly capable of hitting the ticket.

Race 3

(5) HIGHLAND ROCKSTAR was overmatched in stakes competition and she finds a better spot tonight; Sears drives. (3) CHEYENNE ROBIN flashed good speed last out at Philly but it was in a losing effort. (7) PERFECT PLAY did win from an outside spot two back and she will be a nice price tonight.

Race 4

(3) ZANNA BLU has been very consistent in her brief career for Brunet, including a rugged effort in her lone local appearance. (5) SUMMER SCENT won over this surface three back for Dan Daley. (1) PIG HUNT has done little wrong recently and she's obviously a contender here.

Race 5

(3) PHOTO MESSAGE stayed trotting and won her qualifier in debut for Lundell barn; worth a look in a race where anything goes. (4) COUNSELLOR AS has Brennan driving for live trotting connections. (1) MISS B'VILLE J needs to stay flat when she cuts that corner in the first turn.

Race 6

(3) NUNKERI has been speedy and smooth-gaited in her brief career. If she keeps that up she'll make loads of dough on the NYSS circuit. (1) FROU FROU was a decent second from a similar spot three back. (4) BARN DOLL has been super if you put a line through her breaking effort two back.

Race 7

(5) STORIES TO TELL gets Sears in the bike for the Ducharme barn and she'll attract plenty of attention at the windows. (2) MY TWISTED SISTER has a win versus NYSS competition on her card; obvious threat from this inside post. (8) THE CUSE will likely be firing for position from this spot; if the filly finds a tuck she can be trouble.

Race 8

(4) PAMS LEGACY is currently the king of the 30K claimers; sharp gelding can take another. (3) CONNERY BLUE CHIP debuts for another new barn and he can be excused for that effort last week, where he tired after an aggressive try. (1) NITESICANTREMEMBER lands inside off a pocket-sitting victory last out at Pocono.

Race 9

(7) SHAQLINE has looked very good in her two career appearances for Takter and she's got the ability to overcome the outside post. (2) BETCHA has been a solid earner for Daley and she should be close up throughout. (4) CONCENTRATION gets Sears and will be a big threat if she minds her manners.

Race 10

(2) KEYSTONE RAPTOR has missed a month since being claimed but the freelegged pacer qualified with vigor down at Philly. (3) WHOLLY LOUY was taken by Garcia-Herrera; we'll see how the veteran responds to the barn change. (5) JOHNNY Z returns locally off some speedy tries.

Race 11

(5) HAPPILY EVER AFTER kicked in too late last week upon arrival; more aggressive early handling can get the job done tonight. (1) BEAUTIFUL LADY went wire-to-wire last week but Bartlett's not driving tonight; beware. (4) SHESAIDHESAIDISAID has been second best in her last two and she figures highly for a board spot tonight.

Race 12
