How do you get suspended for alcohol in the NFL?

I don't get this suspension for the Denver kicker.

Is it against the rules to drink alcohol in the NFL?

What am I missing?

I believe he got a DUI a few years ago and agreed to join the League's alcohol program, which included reduced penalties/fines, etc. A stipulation of the program is you can't use alcohol and can be randomly tested.
