1st offense: 6-game ban 2nd offense: lifetime ban

The Commissioner admitted he made a mistake with Ray Rice.

Commissioner Roger Goodell sent a memo to all 32 league owners on Thursday, which announced new disciplinary measures regarding domestic violence. For a first offense, the penalty will be a six-game suspension. A second offense will bring a lifetime ban from the league.
Player receiving a lifetime ban will be able to petition the league for reinstatement after a year, but the memo makes that seem unlikely.

Knocking your wife out: 2 games
DUI/illegal weapons/bomb threats: 9 games
Smoking pot: 16 games

The NFL Drug Policy is part of the CBA, the players agreed to it. On top of that, its not a first offense for Gordon. Fucker deserves to sit the whole year.
