Fantasy sports vs. poker

Real simple question, why are fantasy sports (the gambling part) legal and considered games of skill but poker isn't? :ohno:

Because they have the blessings of the leagues.

I don't get it either. You have no control of your fantasy team. At least in poker, it's you making the decisions...

its because they have better lobbyists and the leagues secretly love fantasy sports so the UIGIEA made an exception for fantasy sports

obv its all BS but lawmakers don't care

Yea that's the way I fee as well. Sucks, I miss internet poker so much these days.

its all in the #s....fantasy football players watch like 3-4x more football than the avg fan, read like 2-3x more about it during the week, etc

If your leagues main revenue stream is from advertising on television then having people watch the 4th quarter of a 35-13 game is a beautiful thing
