Apparently FSU is looking into discipline regarding the alleged sexual assault from almost 2 years ago...

Nearly 21 months after a female student accused Jameis Winston, Florida State’s marquee quarterback, of sexually assaulting her in his apartment, the university has begun a disciplinary inquiry into the case, the woman’s lawyer said Thursday.

Florida State officials interviewed the woman last month, spending a little more than an hour asking questions, said the lawyer, John Clune.

“We thought it went very well,” he said. “The school seemed to take it very seriously.”
...

On Thursday, asked about the new inquiry, a university spokeswoman, Browning Brooks, said privacy rules barred her from commenting on any specific case. However, she said, “in general, complainants control the timing in our process.”

David Cornwell, a lawyer advising Winston’s family, said Florida State was merely following federal rules that require an inquiry into any accusation of a possible sex crime. Cornwell said he did not expect the result of the student inquiry to be any different than the local prosecutor’s decision not to file charges.

Clune, the accuser’s lawyer, said Florida State had “assured us the proceeding would go forward, but what the time frame would be and what exactly that means we’ll have to wait and see.”

[h=1]Glazer: Jameis Winston falling on many NFL draft boards[/h]
According to FOX Sports NFL Insider Jay Glazer, general managers are moving Winston down their potential draft boards -- or off them completely. Additionally, due to possible rule changes involving sanctions against teams, franchises that employ players with off-field issues could have draft picks taken away, further diminishing the prospects for rookies-to-be like Winston.
Glazer's report comes in the wake of Friday's exclusive report by FOX Sports that revealed a cover-up by the university and local police. Florida State officials late on Friday decided to bypass the normal process for conducting a student-code-of-conduct investigation in Winston's case and will send the case to an independent arbiter.
The university, since at least early August, has been looking into a woman's allegation that she was raped by Winston on Dec. 7, 2012. Specifically, the school began the investigation in an effort to determine whether Winston violated the student conduct code. Winston has already been cleared of criminal wrongdoing in the case.

Winston, last year's Heisman Trophy winner, was also was suspended one game this season after standing on a table and yelling sexual profanities, mimicking a popular Internet meme.

[h=1]Jameis Winston's best legal move may be to drop out of Florida State[/h]
According to ESPN.com, the disciplinary hearing into Winston would employ an unconventional method whereby three individuals who are not affiliated with Florida State but who have been picked by the university would be eligible to evaluate Winston. Winston and his accuser would each be able to strike one of the three. Typically at Florida State, code of conduct hearings occur after a student has been charged and a committee of students, faculty and staff serves as judges. Florida State has proposed this alternative arrangement in light of the university’s own involvement in the scandal.Winston has five days to notify Florida State’s Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities to begin the disciplinary process. As I explain below, Winston and his attorneys may be privately considering a radical option: Winston dropping out of school. He could then sign with an agent and begin preparations for the 2015 NFL draft. Alternatively, Winston could petition a Florida judge for an injunction against Florida State.
