OK, I've been WAY out of the loop since at least 2008. I could spend weeks searching the forums to try to get caught up, but i'm hoping i could do it all here in one thread.

Last i knew of, the law attached to the port security bill in 2006 put a hurting on the industry by making it harder to move money.

what's the latest?

the latest is that the industry has rationalized to one or two legitimate operators. The rest are ponzi fraud schemes and will fail sooner or later. Efficient money transfer is pretty much impossible, reduced to using foreign checks that are impossible to cash or ridiculous schemes like "bitcoin" to withdraw or deposit.

Lines are all over the map with no consistency.

Sorry to be a downer but things are rough out there

PPH is the way to go, find a local or find one of the very few top rated books.

There is a hole in the industry for post up shops but is a risk and a hassle.

+1, talk to some friends around town and see if you can find a reliable local.

I am a small time better who tries to gradually build a bankroll. Is it really "nearly impossible" to withdraw? You can't just order a check or do ****** transfer or something? Some banks wont cash the check? What about the cheap check cashing places?

Always ways to move money.

People/players just want the quickest ways to do it and that's not always the case.

The option to send/mail money will always be there.

Some don't like going down the road to send a transfer.

If that's the case, sign up and do it online (wu/mg) like many have mentioned on here before...

Hey RPM.....I took 4 years off as well after the 2010 disaster that took thousands from me. (which many of you know what I am referring to). I played some online BJ last year at 5dimes, but not much on the sports scene. Since jumping back into the game a month or so ago I have been blacklisted from WU and had a "customer care" rep from MG contact me and ask 101 questions. One of the banks I use also threatened to close my account because of an incoming transaction. I simply struggle that my country will allow me to blow a 100k on lotto tickets, but treats me like a criminal for wanting to place a 100 dollar wager on the Dolphin's game.

You are 1000% percent correct. Why are various forms of gambling legal and others are not? I can go to casinos, play the lottery, church bingo, non profit raffles, horse racing, etc etc etc. But if I place a bet on a sporting event, I am a degenerate. Hopefully, this traction with NJ, and comments made by Adam Silver will help to finally legalize
