What's the big deal with this Lesean Mccoy tip thing?

I never understood the notion that just because someone is rich they have to leave monster tips every time they go out to eat.

Maybe he is like me. I consider myself a generous tipper but I tip based on service. If the service is good I will tip well above the normal percentage. But if it's bad I will tip very low. This idea that there should be some standard tip regardless of your service is one that shouldn't exist. Perhaps the guy had an awful dining experience. Maybe the waiter was rude or unattentive. But solely because he is rich he is expected to leave a big tip?

You realize there is a big difference between "big tip" and leaving 20 cents, right?

But what if the service was horrible? Or the food? What if the waiter was rude? What if he waited on a refill the entire time and never had anything to drink?

Would that still make him a cheap bastard?

I am with you on this one as the notion that a tip of certain stature must be left (even more so if wealthy) regardless of service quality is completely absurd.

Extremely Bad Business move by the Restaurant. It is not a national chain to my knowledge. What did they think would happen if they posted this about arguably the best running back in the NFL in a City that lives and dies with it's football team. The owner puts it on his facebook page? Are they really that stupid..

Something tells me that this waiter was not going to be a douche if he knew who he was serving. He obviously knew who he was serving. Since we are assuming things, I'm gonna assume that he was looking for a reason to not tip. Perhaps it's a "do you know who I am?" deal.
