12 team League
PPR
Starters are: 1 QB, 2 RB, 2WR, 1 TE, 2 W/R/TE

My team is as follows:
Romo
Roethlisberger

Calvin Johnson
Mike Wallace
Vincent Jackson
TY Hilton
Brian Quick

Doug Martin
Matt Asiata
Bobby Rainey
Carlos Hyde
Jerick McKinnon
Alfred Blue

Larry Donnell
Travis Kelce

The trade is:
Me trading: Vincent Jackson, Mike Wallace and Asiata

Me receiving: Jordy Nelson and Andre Ellington

My thinking is that I am essentially trading Vincent Jackson and Mike Wallace for Jordy and Ellington. I think Asiata sucks, and won't be the feature back for long (either with AP coming back, or McKinnon) and plus I picked him up off of Free Agency and didn't have to waste a waiver on him. I am obviously in desperate need of a decent back, and even though Ellington has a foot problem, I feel like I have nothing to lose because Asiata isn't more than an answer for another game or two. Thoughts?

Definitely would do it. Calvin Johnson and Jordy will be a power duo! And you get Ellington as a bonus

The guy I am trading with is the guy that I usually battle it out with for first every year. Hes a former football coach and knows hit shit. However, his team is flat out AWFUL this year and he had Peterson. I don't care about Asiata in the least bit. However, Wallace is having a nice year and for some reason I have a feeling that Jackson really gets it going. With Ellingtons injury I think I might be taking on more of a risk, but definitely have all of the upside...

And I am embarrassed that I had to put that list of RBs up. I had Martin and Rice to start the year. Obviously I went heavy on the WRs as I didn't really like any of the RBs left when it was my turn to draft. But holy hell it went south in a hurry with Rice and Martin.

I'd do it. You are getting the best player in Jordy, and if Ellington can deal with his foot injury there's a lot of upside there too.

This should have never made it to the forum as a question. This is a total no brainer. Click YES to trade now if you haven't already. Even though Peterson is likely gone for quite some time. Minnesota is going to be pass happy now. They are going to be behind early and often. Asiata is SLOW............ Ellington will be fine, plus you should be able to find some stop gap RB off the waiver for the bye weeks.
