So +500 is still avail? Where do we line up

before you make that wager you might want to read the front page of espn.com
This story is about to explode like you have never seen.

It won't be much longer for Roger.

I predict that sponsors will start dropping out like crazy in the next 24 hrs.

Once that happens its all over.

I would be shocked if he is the commish 30 days from now.

You are wayyyyyyyy too prone to hyperbole lately man.

Goodell is still NFL commish in 30 days I'll bet 100 wins 500 or 200 wins a dime he is commish 10/19

He already said he fucked up, got out ahead of it and the Rice story is basically old news anyway because of AP. The owners aren't gonna can him because he was negligient with Rice.

Rice looks better in this, Biscotti worse....Goodell bad but not much worse than everyone already thought.

I normally agree with you most of the time but you are going to end up looking dumb in this thread when all is said and done.
He did not get out in front.

This thing is over.

Yes, once everyone actually reads it they will agree.
Roger cannot stay.
It won't happen.

yeah I'm not too worried about looking dumb though. This wouldn't be the 1st time in my life I'm wrong.

I think you are vastly overestimating the public outcry that will be created from that piece of investigative journalism. We'll see who is right or wrong but I'm not too worried about losing a +500 on this.

Maybe I am just jaded but these reports don't move the needle as much as you think.

It might be because you seem to be really swept up in the story and all over it but I think the Rice shit is kinda old news at this point. Switch whooping controversy is the new fad.

It does not move the needle for me either because none of this surprises me.
There is nothing in the story that I did not already know.

Only reason its a big story is because like the old saying.

Its not what you know, its what you can prove.

Everyone knows Goodell and everyone else in the NFL saw the video in April.
There is no doubt about it.

This thing is about to snowball to the point where the owners have no choice but to run him off.

Well then it'll be a hell of a sweat. Who the NFL commish is might actually be interesting to me if I got $ on it.

10/19? +500?

I read most of the article and Goodell looks bad but Biscotti looks worse. I dunno I think I'm just too much of a realist to think they can him, a "believe it when I see it" mindset with this issue. You could be right but I don't see the owners bailing on him. Nor do I really see the public backlash getting that bad since everyone figured the NFL saw the video 2 weeks ago.

keep in mind that dude makes $44 million/year....I am sure that he has a contract that would make it very expensive to terminate him without cause and it is very tough to show cause unless someone committed a crime, etc....poor performance alone is generally not considered cause in executive employment agreements...would have to become clear that there was willful misconduct, gross negligence, etc...which is possible I guess depending on who is pursuing it

I'll go on record saying that Goodell is not going anywhere. His multi million dollar job is safe.

Not a good chance that Rog is still there a month form now. It is all about the political correctness at this point and owners, sponsors and nfl heirarchy will move quickly to get all of this behind them. Honestly feel like any other commissioner would have went about all of this in the exact same way that RG did.

The bet is +500 not -500.

The chalk is on him keeping his job.

In your other thread you had it backwards then. You said you would "lay the chalk", you can look it up.

"Odds Roger Goodell will be the NFL commish 30 days from now +500. I will lay the chalk. Latest story about end the Roger Goodell regime.

Gotta highlight the quote I guess. Not showing up.

No not at all.
I think the true odds is -200
But if a sports book put out a line on this it would probably be at least +500.

I mean I don't really care and I believe you meant what you said because I know you are trustworthy, etc. It is all good.

If someone else called you on the bet and was about to bet it then last minute you said you were the one that gets the +500 they might not be as diplomatic about it though. Just be careful with stuff like that on a gambling board.

Although it does beg the question, why didn't more people like the bet at +500 which is what you originally presented it as such? You can call me nuts but I'd give blood to bet +500 if I had to.
