yea that sucks zjp,but at least we are there again and as of now we are up 1 game on the giants for home field.the giants are struggling these days so if LA can take a couple or at least 1 more it just may be enough to hold

Really hope they can win the division.

that's going to be a tough one,we need help and have to keep playing the way we are and being on the road the rest of the way is no bargain,....id love to see it happen though

nice going Key !

thanks red eye,im glad they didn't let that little losing streak a little while back bother them.this season they look to be more mature and not let anything bother them.the pitching is really doing a hell of a job this month of september.....its nice to see them in the postseason back to back years

Looking for a division tie today:

Faced with the potential to finish in a tie with St. Louis and force an extra contest to determine the NL Central champion, the Pirates need to bring their best Sunday against nemesis Johnny Cueto and the Cincinnati Reds.

Pittsburgh (88-73) briefly put its division title hopes in serious jeopardy with Saturday's 10-6 loss to the Reds (75-86) - only its fourth in 17 games - before the first-place Cardinals later fell 5-2 at Arizona to return their advantage to one game.

What a nice year for the Pirates. They finished fourth in the National League in runs, second in on-base percentage and third in OPS, slugging and home runs. Which is kind of surprising given Pedro was mostly a non-factor.

I'm a bit nervous about this WC game.

im always nervous about these one gamer's,but they have had really good success against the giants and i know nothing like that matters in a one game playoff.i like volquez pitching the game too as he has been pretty good this season and especially the second half,so im not worried there and also he is no young guy that has not been around the majors pitching an improtant game

guy's forgive me if i screw up sentences, but im not myself since last week when a close friend of mine died.he was in recovery and just happened to test the waters one more time i guess and he ended up falling down his steps inside his house and broke his neck after doing fucking herion, fucking hate that drug, and i know all are bad but its always that one when shit like this happens,.....what pisses me off is he left behind a newborn baby, now she don't have her dad to grow up with,....fucking selfish bastard, but at the same time i mourn his passing, its just all fucked up,he was only 38
