Trip to Charlotte, NC (Fri Oct 3 – Mon Oct 6)

Fellas (and any ladies). Will be flying out Friday morning to go to Charlotte for the entire weekend, and heading up there with 5 other friends. Main purpose of the visit is to watch our Bears on Sunday. Got some front row seats right by the endzone @ Bank of America Field….Section 121, Row 9. I just booked my hotel yesterday @ the Hilton Charlotte Center City…will be staying there all weekend. It’s smack downtown and 0.2 miles from the Stadium, so it doesn’t get more convenient than this.

This is my first time to Charlotte and I’m looking fwd to having a blast. Those of you who are from Charlotte or in the NC (or SC) areas, do you have any suggestions for me? Just to give you a little background….I’m in my early 30’s and single. I obviously love to party so some suggestions on lounges/bar would be great. I’m not huge into clubs anymore…I’m getting passed that stage in my life, lol. Any good restaurant suggestions and any specialty foods I should try? Being from Chicago, you can understand that I’m big on food. Also, any other activities/fun things to do in or near the downtown area?

Appreciate any help/suggestions I can get. Thanks my RX fam & GO BEARS!!!

I'm here, 5th Street, you can't go wrong, I can't compare it to Chicago because I've always scattered up there when partying, but you can walk from bar to bar to bar, and then some till you drop or a cab takes you back to the Hilton. It compares to 6th Street in Austin and maybe a little to Bourbon in Nawlins, although IMO, nothing compares to the Crescent City. Have fun, I'll be there but nowhere near your seats.

And BTW, I'm playing "DA BEARS," this week, Carolina is so banged up and in disarray, they'd have problems with East Carolina right now. So you should enjoy this wonderful city and "leave happy."

T, appreciate the insight. Nothing compares to Chicago...haha kidding. Any specific bars/lounges you request? I went to 6th street about 8 years ago...had a blast here...so if you compare to that, I don't expect anything less. Sounds like a fun, smaller city to me...and I like that. Although, i haven't been to Nawlins...need to go asap haha. It's always nice getting out of a city like Chicago. Any strip clubs u recommend? Also...anything fun to do besides drinking, watching games, and strippers? LOL. Thanks for all the help man...

Fuckin great to hear coming from a Panthers fan! I like the fact that we're on the road and we're dogs. We play well in those situations. Thanks T and go Bears!!! Let's get that $$$.

Whoa, Whoa, Whoa!!! I'm originally from Pittsburgh and bleed black and gold, hence, I went/played at Vandy, LOL. I AM NOT a Panthers fan, all my relatives here are now, but they've been blinded from severe alcohol and drug abuse......LMAO. They've all lived here for some time and have become what I call geographical fans by proxy. I left Pittsburgh as a youngster before you were born, but I'll never give up that loyalty, although I'll admit that last Sunday tested that loyalty in ways unknown to man/womankind. That all being said, I don't hit titty bars anymore, I just pick it up in some of the more posh places far outside out what these dumbasses refer to as "uptown." Ever heard of a city without a "downtown." This is the reason I've been given for the center of the city being called "uptown" and not "downtown".....drumroll please....because there's no river running through the city. I've gotten away from the question, I realize, but this is some really funny shit, it is what it is. I'll send you a PM later on with the T-Bar locations, there's a guy in town that runs the best and he's a pretty good guy so I assume they're top notch. Give me a few hours, got something to do and I'll be back at ya. Have fun, like I said, should have moved here from OK years ago but I'm here now.

Even had all the Steelers clothing I own on, down to the boxers, LOL (the boxers are a joke, hope all can appreciate that, we are, well most of us here, men). Anyway, drank beer for free all night having won bet after bet, it got really old as I prefer to get drunk on Mac 18, lol. I'm gonna send ya that note, doing some work around my madre's hacienda right now, happens when they get old.

I used to go to Charlotte on biz 3-4 times per yr some time back. I swear the tittie bars were on Billy Graham Blvd. That's funny. Maybe one of you can confirm that?

I own a house on lake norman.. beautiful area.. oldest son lives on the lake.. college street is the place to hang out.. strip joint across the street from the stadium..

Uptown Caberet is the strip club across the stadium but go to the Men's Club off of Tyvola for tits

and grits. Go to the Epic Center to Bubbles to hangout. There are many things to go at the Music Factory as well. I've already told you where I work at so swing by if you can!

I had a blast in Charlotte!!! Thank you for all your help....LADY & gentlemen!! I will definitely be back to this city. So many nice ass people out there....I loved every second of my trip (except for that damn Bears loss...that was pitiful). There were so many Chicago fans in town....it was great. We dominated the city =)

The roads in Charlotte sometimes have three or four names yet you're on same road...There is one strip club on side road right off Billy Graham by airport. When you leave airport on Billy Graham it turns into Woodlawn a few miles down & there is strip club on Woodlawn...Also, Old Pineville off Woodlawn has one too...

Not sure why my prior posts are gone, but I'm glad you had great time. Charlotte is fantastic southern city..I've lived down there past three plus years & love it.
